Trick-or-treat

It was different going trick-or-treating in NC rather than IL this year. The weather couldn't have been more opposite! It was in the 80s and raining here and Matthew's parents got several inches of snow and ice in IL! Either way, the girls still had a complete blast! Addison wanted to be Minnie Mouse and Lexi chose Moana!

The humidity definitely brings out her little curls!

Hard to see-but there is a toad on the left there! We love all the wildlife that comes up to our porch!

My mom also came to visit during the week, so we celebrated her birthday and carved our pumpkin as well! We also did some exploring when we could! We were so excited to have some visitors since our move, and the girls definitely enjoyed seeing their mawmaw! 💓

And of course, whenever my mother comes, we bake! The girls made bread and cookies!

So proud of herself!!

We can't wait for another visit from Mawmaw Sherrick! 💓💓

PUMPKIN FARM FUN

One of our favorite traditions as a family is going to the pumpkin farm every October. We were so happy to find a pumpkin farm not too far away from home. Because we moved, it was our first time at this farm and we had a blast! There were several different attractions for the girls, a few farm animals for them to see, and a hayride to the patch.

The pumpkins are still on the vine! 😄

The girls loved playing in the corn pit. Addison especially loved it, and of course had a difficult time keeping her socks on. Another attraction they really enjoyed was the cardboard cow that allowed you to milk it! Let's be honest, I really enjoyed that too! 😉

I think our favorite part of the whole day was taking the hayride to the patch and picking out our own pumpkins off the vine! The girls loved running up and down the patch-trying their best to pick up the biggest pumpkins they saw!

Until next year pumpkin farm! 💕

Our Big Move to North Carolina!

At the beginning of July we made the long trip from Schaumburg, Illinois to Garner, North Carolina. This ended up being close to a 17 hour trip with the girls. I am so thankful for my mother and brother who came to help us move because I couldn't have done this trip emotionally, nor physically without them.

The Lord really provided us with the perfect place to live for our current season of life. Our house is in a quiet neighborhood and has a large fenced-in back yard, which the girls are loving! We are backed up to woods, which have provided us with a nice view of wildlife this winter. We love seeing deer come up to the fence hunting for food and watching several squirrels climb and race through the trees! There is also a built-in tree house right behind our fence, which the girls love when Matthew takes them up there!

We have lived here for about 6 months now and are just enjoying it! We love exploring and finding fun places to enjoy!

We love taking walks through the neighborhood!

The whole world is their playground! 💓
