Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm

I love this time of year. I love the knit sweaters and boots, drinking hot chocolate and spice tea, having bon fires and roasting s'mores, and creating new traditions with our family.

One of our favorite Fall traditions is going to the local Pumpkin Farm with Matthew's parents. We tried to go with my mom and sister when they were here, but the weather was sadly not cooperating with us 😭 The pumpkin farm is just not as fun when it is raining and cold!

At Goebbert's, we get to experience many different animals. Lexi loved this part. She and Paw-Paw would gather dropped carrots off the ground and feed them to the animals. She kept saying "hold you!" to all the animals. She did not understand why we would not let her hold the porcupine, camel, or the long-horn bull! (Just a few of the many cool animals they had).  Nonetheless, she had a great time petting and feeding all the animals.

Since Lexi is almost two, she was able to experience and enjoy all the different activities Goebbert's offers-and let's face it, it was more fun for us to watch her having the time of her life ;).

This is where we pick out our very large family pumpkin that we set aside and carve for Halloween. Matthew has it down to a science! We scope out the many pumpkins until we find the best one that is perfect for carving and display. This is my favorite part. I try to find it before Matthew, and bonus if it is larger than his find 🙂 I am not competitive at all 😉

Because I was wearing Addison, Matthew found our family pumpkin this year! Lexi was beside herself with how big it was! She would say "Hold you!" and then "Heavy!"
We only last a couple of hours there; but, we are never bored when we visit Goebbert's. Visiting a pumpkin patch is a great way to make some great family memories, and we never leave this place disappointed!

See you next year Goebbert's!!!!

  2. It would have been fun if we could have gone with y'all. Maybe next year. It looks like y'all had a great time there, but best of all you are starting memorable traditions for your children!! Thanks for sharing pictures of your fun day.
